    Ages: 6yrs – 12yrs
    Time: 9.30am – 11.30am

    Camp 2: Wednesday 17th April Cost $50
    Ages: 13yrs – 15yrs
    Time: 1.00pm – 3.00pm

    Camp 3: Thursday 18th April Cost $65
    Ages: 16yrs – 18yrs
    Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm

    Camp 4: Tuesday 23rd April Cost $50
    Ages: 6yrs – 12yrs
    Time: 9.30am-11.30am

    Camp 5: Tuesday 23rd April Cost $50
    Ages: 13yrs – 15yrs
    Time: 1.00pm – 3.00pm

    Camp 6: Wednesday 24th April Cost $65
    Ages: 16yrs – 18yrs
    Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm

The Tamworth Basketball Association manage all local basketball activities ranging form the regular weekly competitions through to representative level.


COMPETITIONS


★ Aussie Hoops


Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official junior game development program for 5-9 year olds and their families. The national program provides an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation.


Aussie Hoops introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment that connects our game at the grassroots through to the elite level. Our national coaching curriculum and sequentially-developed program consists of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games all delivered by accredited coaches.


★ Primary Schools competition


We run two primary school competitions each year on Thursday nights through terms 1 & 2, and again through terms 3 & 4. The competition is played across 4 age groups years 3/4 Boys, 3/4 Girls, 5/6 Boys & 5/6 Girls. This is a schools based program, but if your school cant put a team in just let us know and we will try to get you into a team. Registration and competition fees apply. Nominations are called for at the ends of terms 2 and 4 and accepted up until early in terms 1 and 3 respectively.


★ High Schools competition


We run two high school competitions each year on Wednesday nights through terms 1 & 2, and again through terms 3 & 4. The competition is played across 4 age groups years 7/8 Boys, 7/8 Girls, 9/10 Boys & 9/10 Girls. Depending on nominations we will run an 11/12 Boys and 11/12 Girls competition if there are enough teams. This is a schools based program, but if your school cant put a team in just let us know and we will try to get you into a team. Registration and competition fees apply. Nominations are called for at the ends of terms 2 and 4 and accepted up until early in terms 1 and 3 respectively.


★ Senior competition


We run two open age competitions each year on Tuesday nights through February to June and July to December. Competitions range from A grade through to D grade depending on nominations. You can organize your own team or if you don’t have enough please let us know and we will try to get you into a team. Registration and competition fees apply. Nominations open at the conclusion of a competition and are open until the commencement of the next.


★ Waratah League Senior Program


Tamworth Basketball participates in the Waratah League competition operated by Basketball NSW. This is our open age representative program that has been performing successfully over an extended period of time. The competition is run on a home and away basis.

The experience was a little bit disappointing for my granddaughter.

My granddaughter is big for her age and the organiser asked her if she was sure of her age group suggesting that she was lying about her age.

And also one group of boys that she played against calling her name's and ignoring her as though she was not there.
