OUR PROGRAMS

⭐ Recreational Programs

○ 2-3 years

Our structured 45 minute class is designed for boys and girls aged 2 to 3 years. With parental support, participants will develop their fine and gross motor movement, learn to sit and listen and to share equipment with others.

○ 7-8 years

Our popular two hour class is designed for boys and girls aged 7 to 8 years. Participants will learn to JUMP and land safely, climb, advanced rolling and develop their handstands and cartwheels in a supportive and rewarding environment.

○ 4-6 years

Our fun one hour class is designed for boys of all abilities aged 5 to 7 years. Participants will learn to roll, jump, swing, climb and land safely across a variety of gymnastics and ninja equipment.

○ 4 years

Our introductory one hour class is designed for boys and girls aged 4 years. Encouraging independence from parental support, our circuit based program will teach participants how to follow instructions, body awareness and to move in different ways such as BOUNCing.

○ 9-10 years

Our engaging two and half our class is designed for boys and girls of all abilities aged 9 to 10 years. The program fosters personal achievement. Participants will learn to LEAP and land safely, master handstands and cartwheels, advanced swings and an introduction to basic tumbling skills.

○ 7-8 years

Our challenging two hour class is designed for boys of all abilities aged 8 to 10 years. It is a skill based program with a strong focus on safety, physical conditioning and fitness using an array of gymnastics and ninja apparatus.

○ 5-6 years

Our popular one hour class is designed for boys and girls of all abilities aged 5 to 6 years. Participants will learn to follow a circuit, work in pairs or small groups, ROLL and swing on an array of exciting gymnastics and ninja equipment.

○ 11+ years

Our senior two and a half hour class is designed for boys and girls aged 11 years and above. The program encourages social connections with others with a strong focus on self – confidence. Participants will learn to TUMBLE and combine multiple skills together.

○ 9+ years

Our advanced two hour class is designed for boys of all abilities aged 11 years and above. Participants can further progress their skills in an optional and additional one hour extension class.

⭐ Competitive Programs

○ GymStar

Our Gymstar program follows the semi competitive Victorian levels program. Entry in to our Gymstar is strictly by assessment only. Athletes are invited to represent Bayside Gymnastics across ten levels. Athletes are judged on their performance of six routines

○ WAG

Our Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) follows the Australian Levels Program (ALP). ALP is our club’s premier competitive program. Entry in to the WAG ALP is strictly by assessment only. Athletes are invited to represent Bayside Gymnastics across ten levels. Athletes are judged on the execution of compulsory routines performed on four different apparatus.

○ MAG

Our Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) follows the Australian Levels Program (ALP). ALP is our club’s premier competitive program. Entry in to the MAG ALP is strictly by assessment only. Athletes are invited to represent Bayside Gymnastics across ten levels. Athletes are judged on the execution of compulsory routines performed on six different apparatus.

ABOUT US

Founded in approximately the mid 1970’s, Bayside Gymnastics Club is a not for profit, community gymnastics club. The club is affiliated with our national governing body, Gymnastics Australia and supported by a volunteer committee of management, head coach, administration coordinator and accounts officer.

Our gymnasts are registered as members with Gymnastics Australia and insured by Marsh Advantage, Gymnastic Australia’s Insurance Programme. Our coaches are qualified by Gymnastics Victoria and accredited by Gymnastics Australia. The national accreditation system provides a coaching pathway for coaches across Australia. These qualifications are the industry and best practice standard for coaching gymnastics skills in Australia.

The club prides itself on delivering recreational, semi competitive and competitive programs to children, young people and their families in the Casey, Frankston and Mornington regions.
