CAF Art Center, Clay Sculpture lessons, School Term 2024

CAF-Art Centre • Wahroonga 2076

Overview

Clay sculpture is an incredibly fun and engaging activity for kids that fosters both creativity and cognitive development. This hands-on experience allows children to transform shapeless clay into imaginative forms, giving them an exciting sense of accomplishment. It's a sensory-rich adventure that appeals to their tactile and visual senses, igniting their imagination and problem-solving skills. As they sculpt, kids can explore their artistic talents, experimenting with different shapes and textures, and honing their fine motor skills. Moreover, clay sculpture is a wonderful way to encourage self-expression and boost self-esteem, as children see their visions come to life before their eyes. This activity is not just fun, but it also offers a valuable educational experience that can stimulate a lifelong passion for the arts and foster a love for creative exploration.
They will practice making animals, humans, monsters, and even natures while they learn about the Clay Sculpture techniques, such as pinch pot, coil and slabs techniques.
