Overview

    Is your child feeling overwhelmed, unsettled or completely zapped of energy at the end of their school week? Are they looking for connection with others? Do they need tools to regulate more effectively? Then this four week 'Feel Good Fridays Program', starting Friday March 1st can help!

    This 4-week program is specifically designed to support and calm children’s nervous systems using:
    > Mindful movement and yoga poses,
    > Breathing techniques and
    > Engaging group activities and
    > Relaxation
    PLUS, each session ends with a purposeful reflection activity that will deepen their understanding of themselves and the learning themes intertwined throughout the program as participants will learn ways to regulate their body, emotions and energy levels.

    These sessions are engaging, calming and full of Meaningful Fun and a place where kids can just be themselves, have a laugh (or two!) and walk away with a spring in their step! Who doesn't want that as a way to glide into the weekend?

    Feel Good Fridays is designed and facilitated by Michelle Roberts, an paediatric Occupational Therapist and accredited Kids and Teens yoga teacher.

    All equipment, art supplies, journal are included in the program fee. Smiles, hugs and laughs are free!!
    Weighted eye pillows are also available for purchase at the sessions.
    And don't worry, no previous yoga experience required and your child DOESN'T need to be flexible!

    Dates of program: Friday 1st March - Friday 22nd March 2024
    Time: 4 - 4.45pm
    There is small kitchenette space if parents wish to stay onsite.

    Limited to 12 places.
    * minimum number of 5 enrolments required for the program to commenced. Sessions cannot be individually booked.

    CANCELLATION POLICY
    *100% credit for program cancelled by Rise Up Kids Yoga and OT
    *50% credit on cancellations made < 7 days and > 48hours prior to commencement of program
    *No refund or credit available for cancellations made <48hours prior to commencement of program
    * Fee is for 4 week program

Welcome to Rise Up Kids Yoga and OT (aka RYKYOT!).


This service aims to assist young people to learn skills that can help to help them deal with everyday moments in life and have fun all at the same time!


Rise Up Kids Yoga & OT run yoga programs and classes that teach healthy lifestyle habits and overall wellbeing through the mindful activity of Yoga, Yoga Therapy, breath work and other emotional regulation strategies.


RUKYOT practices values of Meaningful Fun and Wellbeing. When people have fun, feel safe and comfortable, they become curious, explore and learn. When people can apply their learnings, well researched and effective skills and strategies to help themselves, it's has a positive affect on their overall wellbeing.


Meaningful fun = learning = wellbeing = empowered!


Rise Up Kids Yoga is delivered by accredited and certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and highly experienced children’s Occupational Therapist Michelle Roberts.


Michelle has over 20 years of clinical experience as a Children’s Occupational Therapist thus developing extensive knowledge and experience in child development and engaging kids in activities. She is skilled in the design, implementation and adaptation of age appropriate activities that target and build children and teens physical, social, emotional, cognitive and overall wellbeing.


Michelle looks forward to sharing her knowledge and skills to create meaningful fun and important learning opportunities for your child to help guide them the ups and downs in life.

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.” Sometimes we can't avoid the puddles left by the storms, we need to go through them, so why not dance or do yoga in them?! :)
