Situated in the lush Green Park on Cammeray Rd, CDA provides dance classes for children aged 2 years and up. Director Anastasia Jackson, RAD RTS, along with our enthusiastic qualified teachers, aim to provide a safe and welcoming space for all students, while fostering a love for dance.

CLASSES

★ Classical Ballet

Learn the art of classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus, one of the worlds most recognized training systems. Classical ballet is the basis for all styles of dance that teaches you balance, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, poise and grace while developing musicality and artistry. We deliver a high standard of correct technique while fostering a love for this beautiful art form. We offer examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance for dedicated and passionate students.

★ Creative Movement

For our youngest dancers, creative movement classes have a strong emphasis on FUN! Starting from age 2 years old, children are introduced to the basics of classical ballet and dance through imaginative classes, while developing co-ordination and motor skills. With our safe training techniques, your child’s confidence will build and it’s a wonderful way to make new friends before starting big school !

★ Jazz

Kick, turn and leap your way into the studio with our upbeat jazz classes! Jazz dance is a style that has always been influenced by popular culture and the trends of today’s world. Styles of jazz can vary due to the different tempo and rhythms of the music that is used. From high energy, fast paced movements to smooth and stylish choreography; jazz is always an exciting class that you don’t want to miss.

★ Lyrical Contemporary

Lyrical dance blends the elements of classical and modern ballet, with contemporary and jazz dance into one. Using expressive movements that can be fluid, yet abstract, this style has a strong use of conveying emotion through movement and self-interpretation of the music.

★ Acrobatics

Does your child love to cartwheel and handstand everywhere they go? Do they dream of learning cool tricks and back flips like the performers of Cirque Du Soleil? Then this class is calling for you! Acrobatics classes feature all the co-ordination, balance and agility needed to accomplish highly skilled acrobatic movements. Confidently learn the precise techniques to master such steps with a strong emphasis on safety first.

★ Stretch and Strength

This class is designed to improve the dancers range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase strength to keep up with the technical demands required in dance. This class is the perfect addition to any dance training.
