ABOUT US

Cowra Ballet School is a family owned and operated dance studio located in the Central West of NSW.

We were established in 1969, with a mission to provide ballet classes to young girls in Cowra.

Fast forward more than half a century, and you have yourself a well established, successful and reputable business, who is proud to change the lives of over 160 students every year.

Our studio space is large and contains all the necessary facilities to host dance classes every afternoon of the week.

Philosophy of Dance Education

Teachers can be some of the greatest and most memorable role models for children.

Teachers have the capacity to have a great impact on a student.

Teachers have the opportunity to help shape the future and change the world.

Following the pedagogy of well-known social psychologist, Lev Vygotsky, our studio is socially endorsed, while students work collaborative with each other, as well as with their respected teacher. Within a healthy and supportive environment, we aim to teach the whole person; through cognitive knowledge, affective understanding, and kinaesthetic learning.

Students in each class form part of a bigger studio community, who rely on one another for support and encouragement, while maintaining personal responsibility for their role in learning.
