Stage & Song Studios not only builds on your performance skills, but prepares you for a future in Musical Theatre and the Arts, and for performances such as HSC Music and Drama, community and school events and eisteddfods, as well as our mid-year and end of year showcase.

MUSICAL THEATRE AND SINGING TRAINING

★ Explore a range of Musical Theatre repertoire in both solo and group performances

★ Learn to transition naturally from scene to song

★ Learn how to discover character in music and lyrics and perform in a natural and effective way.

★ Develop singing and performance skills including classical singing training, stage movement, projection, script analysis, and working with other actors

★ Discover how to fully develop characters in both individual and ensemble work using a range of acting approaches

★ Build confidence and make friendships that can last a lifetime

Students are given a space to explore their creative talents and develop skills that will last long into their future. Many past students have gone on to achieve excellent marks in both HSC Drama and Music, have been accepted into performance degrees, have performed with theatre groups, and have begun singing professionally.

CLASSES

★ Primary Performers

Musical Theatre classes for primary aged students. Class focuses on developing skills in singing and acting, developing confidence, developing a range of characters and maintaining strong characters on stage, improvisation, introduction to song interpretation, and how to stage a song.

★ Senior Ensemble

This class is for high school students and adults. The class focuses on song analysis and interpretation, emotional connection with lyrics and music, improvisation and character development utilising a range of dramatic techniques, how to stage a song, and how to work as an ensemble.

★ Solo Singers & Performers

This class is for students who have some singing training and would like to improve their solo performance skills. Students explore solo material from a wide range of repertoire and learn techniques to create performances of the highest quality. Students from this class are encouraged to perform in festival and eisteddfods.

★ Singing Lessons

Private singing lessons are available at the SASS studio in Baulkham Hills with studio director, Celeste. Singing lessons are available for all ages and abilities. Stage & Song Studios aims to create a vocally and emotionally safe learning environment for students to develop sound technique and confidence in their performance skills. With two studio performances a year, opportunities to attend eisteddfods, exams, and auditions, and with excellent filming and recording facilities on site, our students are constantly developing and growing as singers.
