OUR FLAMENCO DANCE CLASSES FOR CHILDREN

Flamenco comes from Andalucía, the Southern region of Spain & is an art form with rich cultural connections to other ancestral cultures & world music.

Our Flamenco dance classes for children offer children a unique & fresh way of learning the principles of Flamenco dance (Spanish Dance) technique (upper body, footwork, rhythm: learn the dynamics of rhythm).

We introduce children to the Art of Flamenco & its rich cultural history, with a wonderful blend of entertainment and education (for children ages 3 to 13 yrs of age.)

* Classes for girls & boys starting from 3 yrs of age (Pre- school) through to Juniors & beyond.

CHILDRENS CURRENT CLASS TIMETABLE

Friday 7.30 - 8.30 pm: Open Beginners - For Children aged 8 to 18 yrs with no previous Flamenco dance experience.

Saturday 9 - 9.30 am: Pre Primary- For Children aged 5 to 8 yrs with no previous Flamenco dance experience.

Saturday 9.30- 10.30 am: Junior Teen Flamenco- Saturday 9 - 9.30 am: For ages 11 to 17 yrs with at least 2 yrs Flamenco dance experience.

Our active commitment, implication, and dedication with our students part from our vocation for teaching which we see as essential for their personal growth as artists.

We develop Flamenco dance concepts ranging from traditional Flamenco through to contemporary Flamenco dance choreographies & Workshops.

The musical structure is explained together with Flamenco singing to develop a deeper understanding of the complexity of the Flamenco art form with its wide variety of Palos (Genres, rhythms and styles).

Our method has particular emphasis on the technical, choreographic and interpretative aspects, contextualizing according to each Flamenco Palo/ Genre, style.

Classes for all levels, from beginner to Professional, starting from tiny tots at 3 years of age.

ABOUT EFA CERTIFICATE from Spain

We offer the Official Flamenco Dance Certificate from Spain through EFA -Escuela de Flamenco de Andalucia, Spain. Our Academy is the official ambassador for this syllabus in Australia & Asia.

After decades of teaching  & performing professionally in Spain & internationally, Pepa Molina has been named honorary Ambassador of Australasia for EFA in 2018, Pepa (Pepa Molina Flamenco Dance Academy) brings not only the highest level of Flamenco dance training to Australia but also the opportunity to learn a structured syllabus from Spain. The EFA syllabus not only encompasses all technical & artistic aspects of Flamenco dance but also Flamenco’s rich cultural history, music & social context with Flamenco theory. We teach about the relationship with the guitar, singing & Flamenco history in context with Flamenco dance.

We strongly advise our students (Children aged 8 yrs+ & adults) to enrol in EFA & examinations. It’s the perfect goal to work towards during the yr pushing towards the learning  & perfecting set exercises learn’t in class for exams including footwork drills, palmas, turns, arms, marking, choreographies as well as theory throughout the year.
