    The Easter School Holidays are almost here. If you are looking for something for your kids to engage in that is:

    ...then our Rise Up Kids Yoga & Wellbeing Classes delivers it all.

    Children will explore yoga and mindful movement practices, learn and experiment with strategies to relax and focus their minds, engage in fun group activities and create something special to take home as a memento.

    These classes are run by Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) and Children & Teens Yoga Teacher Michelle. Michelle has more than 20 years of clinical experience working with children and families as an OT. She is knowledgeable about children's development and wellbeing, and is passionate about supporting and empowering them to become the best version of themselves all whilst having HEAPS of fun!

    No prior experience of Yoga is required and children don't need to be flexible!

    IMPORTANT CLASS DETAILS
    Two locations and dates to choose from:

    Monday 8th April, 1pm – 3pm (2 hour class)
    Yoga Freedom Studio, Avondale Heights

    or

    Thursday 11th April, 10.30am – 12.30pm (2 hour class)
    At One Studio, Essendon


    WHAT'S INCLUDED:
    * A nice, relaxing yoga studio environment
    * Yoga mats, body supports and weighted eye pillows
    * Healthy snack
    * Craft/reflection activity
    * Small gift to take home

    WHAT TO BRING:
    * A bottle of water
    * Wear comfortable and suitable clothing for yoga
    * A curious mind and open to having fun!

    Minimum number of 4 booked participants required for the class to run so book early to avoid disappointment of missing out (due to low numbers cancellation).


    CANCELLATION POLICY
    *100% credit for class rescheduled by Rise Up Kids Yoga and OT
    *85% refund on cancellations made > 7 days prior to activity
    *50% credit on cancellations made < 7 days and > 48hours prior to the activity
    *No refund or credit available for cancellations made <48hours prior to activity

Welcome to Rise Up Kids Yoga & OT (aka RUKYOT!).


This service aims to assist young people to learn skills that can help to help them deal with everyday moments in life and have fun all at the same time!


Rise Up Kids Yoga & OT run yoga programs and classes that teach healthy lifestyle habits and overall wellbeing through the mindful activity of Yoga, Yoga Therapy, breath work and other emotional regulation strategies.


RUKYOT practices values of 'Meaningful Fun' and 'Wellbeing'. When people have fun, feel safe and comfortable, they become curious, explore and learn. When people can apply their learnings, well researched and effective skills and strategies to help themselves, it's has a positive affect on their overall wellbeing.

Rise Up Kids Yoga is delivered by accredited and certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and highly experienced children’s Occupational Therapist Michelle Roberts.


Michelle has over 20 years of clinical experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and extensive knowledge and experience in child development and engaging children in activities. She is skilled in the design, implementation and adaptation of age appropriate activities that target and build children and teens physical, social, emotional, cognitive and overall wellbeing.


Michelle looks forward to sharing her knowledge and skills to create meaningful fun and important learning opportunities for your child to help guide them the ups and downs in life.

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.” Sometimes we can't avoid the puddles left by the storms, we need to go through them, so why not dance or do yoga in them?! :)
