- In this workshop, you will learn the basics of painting rocks, wood slices, or any other surface you desire. You will learn about the concept of Kindness Rocks and why painting rocks can be such a meaningful exercise for all ages. Each lesson we will deliver a brand-new lesson covering skills from story stones, dot art, mandalas, planet rocks, and so on.
You are welcome to come with your own rocks and paint pens, however here is a suggested kit to have ready in time for the live online lessons.

Dot painting
Learn about the history behind traditional indigenous rock painting culture along with the modern trend of kindness rock painting linking the two together with the use of life of colour paint products to complete a set of rocks with aboriginal symbols. Learn basic beginners tips and vocabulary for rock painting
Rainbow jungle animals
Learn about painting stones with whimsical animals such as unicorns, learn techniques used for painting fun animal shapes in rainbow colours and themes with the use of life of colour paint products. Practice fine motor and drawing/painting skills, fine hand to eye motor control. Learn about patterns in design.
Step by step tutorial comprehension and recollection.
Gift rocks lesson plan
Learn about painting stones to gift to others using designs and, techniques used for painting patterns with the use of life of colour paint products. Practice fine motor and drawing/painting skills, fine hand to eye motor control
Step by step tutorial comprehension and recollection.
Moon cycle lesson
Learn about painting stones for moon cycles which can be used in educational settings, learn techniques used for painting moon shapes and textures with the use of life of colour paint products. Practice fine motor and drawing/painting skills, fine hand to eye motor control
Step by step tutorial comprehension and recollection. Touch base on mathematical terms in regards to shapes in art
Faces of stars
Learn about using methods to make a copy of faces from existing images, such as making carbon paper , mirror imaging and tracing.
Discover the use of grayscale colours with the use of life of colour paint products.
Practice fine motor control used for drawing/painting skills.

The cost of each workshop is $20 per child attending.
Each new lesson will cover the basics of rock and any surface painting.
You will be able to catch up with all previous lessons via the Facebook Group if you are unable to be there at the time of the live class.
