- Stage Artz is bringing back the magic, fun and incredible music of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL!
By the end of our last charity musical in 2019, Stage Artz had raised $278,000 for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and our donation amount had earned us Hospital Benefactor status. Due to Covid-19, we were unable to stage a charity musical for the past two years, however with this year’s production we would like to make up for lost time… we are aiming to raise an impressive $22,000, taking our total donation to $300,000.
As a tribute and a thank you to all of the wonderful, loyal performers and audience members of Stage Artz who have been asking for this for so many years, in 2022 we are bringing back the magic, fun and incredible music of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL!
Just imagine a world where anything’s possible – an elephant in a tree, a person too tiny to see, a heroic child and dreams running wild! SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza that creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and a gaggle of wonderful characters to bring harmony back to their world.
Written by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, Seussical is now one of the most performed shows in America.
It was produced by Stage Artz in 2005 and again in 2010, and is considered one of our most memorable shows.
Seussical will be performed at Glen St Theatre, September 24th to October 1st, 2022!

About the provider
Stage Artz Performing Arts School, based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, offers classes in drama, singing and musical theatre dance. The school opened in 2001, and has since become renowned for its high standard of productions. Students attend weekly classes and are given the opportunity to showcase their talents in concerts and productions, including the annual Glen Street Theatre Musical production which raises money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Stage Artz students are also invited to take part in Stage Artz social and fundraising events, eg. Karaoke Nights, Theatresports Competitions and the very popular Character Dinners.
At the end of each year, Stage Artz teachers select a few outstanding students to receive the Stage Artz Annual Awards: Junior Drama Award, Senior Drama Award, Singing Award, Musical Theatre Award and the Director’s Choice Award. These awards are presented at the Stage Artz Christmas Party.
Stage Artz teachers work together to create an environment that will inspire and encourage young performers. Newsletters and reminder notes are distributed regularly, keeping students and parents up to date with all upcoming performances and events. Class enrolments are taken throughout the year.
