Overview

These classes are great for children to learn the basics of drawing and painting. I will teach them to improve their drawing skills and helping them see their subject in the eyes of an artist, helping them improve their concentration levels and social skills while meeting new friends. My aim is to build up their confidence, and not be afraid of making mistakes as well as experimenting with different mediums to discover what they like best to be able to create their own artwork.

Fine Art Stella Kypriotis

5.0 out of 5 (View 5 ratings)

Stella Kypriotis is a contemporary realist artist based in Sydney. She is passionate about teaching children how to draw and paint and loves to bring out the artistic expression in them.

As a young child, Stella had a longing to create anything, she enjoyed making something out of nothing which gave her a sense of satisfaction. She would sit at her mothers sewing machine for hours at a time, and try to design a dress for her dolls with the left over material her mum was ready to scrap. Her favourite subject in school was arts, and Stella loved listening to the teachers stories about the history of art. Her teacher asked the students to paint something which they felt connected to. Stella went on to paint a large canvas of Crying Girl, by Roy Lichtenstein, which was her 1st ever painting, it was as if she knew from then, it was what she wanted to continue to do.

During her career life she worked in various office roles, which didn't leave room for her creativity. She then decided to work in an art-shop to help her further explore that field. Stella decided to enrol in art-classes with artist Christopher Vidal to learn to draw and paint in oils, and would then practice what she would learn for many hours a day to better her skill in drawing and painting.
