Comets Netball Club

Comets Netball Club has seen phenomenal growth since it started in 2009. This is due to the "happiness factor" of our members who encourage friends to join us.

Our aim is to support members in whatever pathway they choose (player, coach, umpire, administrator). Our Committee continually looks for ways to improve knowledge, skill and outcomes for our members.

Comets Netball Club started in 2009 (as Carlingford Comets Netball Club) with 3 junior teams. We grew quickly and moved our training sessions to Meadowbank Park to accommodate the growing player numbers.

Comets Netball Club is guided by a committee of dedicated parents and players who come together to plan for the club’s long term success.

Our long term plan is to provide assistance to our members to achieve their netball dreams in whatever pathway they choose to follow. Feedback from players and parents is always valued.

Our unique website allows us to communicate the same message to all parents and players. We invite you to browse our News and Events page. You will notice that teams place a weekly game report and the committee reads each one, every week.

Comets are a friendly and caring group of people who work together creating a positive environment to encourage, support and teach our members to strive toward their maximum potential in all aspects of their lives.

Practice sessions are on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Meadowbank Park, Adelaide Street, West Ryde. Games are played on Saturdays at either Brush Farm (10yrs and under) or Meadowbank Park (11yrs and over).

Saturday Game Times are determined by Eastwood Ryde Netball Association and we cannot confirm those times until early March.

Our uniform hire policy is designed to help alleviate some of the cost of growing girls so that parents don’t have to buy new uniforms every year. If your child has a growth spurt during the season, you just swap for a larger uniform when returning the old one.

Important information is emailed to all members whenever a web post is made so that everyone gets the same message at the same time.
