Junior Basketball Academy

The Junior Basketball Academy (JBA) was created by Richie Garard, a passionate youth basketball coach and personal trainer, and is designed to make a positive difference in the community by changing kids's live through basketball.

At JBA, kids learn more than just skills and drills. Our focus is on helping each other player succeed and grow both on and off the court, and is shaped in the belief that kids excel when they have fun.

JBA delivers the highest level of personalised coaching and mentoring through age appropriate drills and games through school holiday camps and weekly coaching sessions, allowing kids to learn the correct technique and build their basketball foundation though solid fundamentals.

Our philosophy is that we want kids to learn to love baskbetball through fun and expert coaching. We believe in teaching more than just skills and drills and we believe that kids are not adults, and they shouldn't be trained like ones.
